The Identity and Nature of JESUS CHRIST

The Identity and Nature of JESUS CHRIST
There is a danger in knowing about JESUS without truly knowing who HE is.
There is a danger in knowing about JESUS without truly knowing who HE is.
Many claim to love JESUS, yet their understanding of HIM is shallow, fragmented, or shaped by incomplete teaching. And this is where the real problem begins. Because you cannot truly love what you do not understand. As it is written in Matthew 22:37, love for GOD is not just emotional, it is rooted in knowledge, conviction, and truth.
This is why the question of the identity and nature of JESUS CHRIST is not a minor theological discussion. It is the very foundation of salvation itself.
The Mystery of One Person with Two Natures
At the center of Christian truth lies a profound mystery known as the Hypostasis Union: This means that JESUS CHRIST is one person with two complete natures:
Fully GOD
Fully Man
Not half GOD and half man.
Not GOD pretending to be human.
Not a human later elevated to divinity.
But truly GOD and truly man at the same time, without confusion, without change, without division, and without separation.
This is revealed in John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
The eternal WORD, who is GOD, stepped into time and became human.
The Deity of JESUS CHRIST
To understand who JESUS is, we must recognize HIS divinity.
One simple way to see this is through what can be called the HANDS framework:
Honour : JESUS receives honour that belongs only to GOD. Hebrews 1:6 shows that even angels worship HIM.
Attributes: JESUS possesses divine attributes. In Revelation 1:8, HE is called the Alpha and Omega.
Names: JESUS is called names that belong only to GOD. Isaiah 9:6 calls HIM Mighty GOD.
Deeds: JESUS performs works only GOD can do. HE forgives sins (Mark 2:5-7) and will judge the world (Revelation 20:12).
These are not symbolic gestures. They are clear revelations that JESUS is GOD.
The Humanity of JESUS CHRIST
Yet, if JESUS were only GOD and not human, mankind would not fully grasp the depth of HIS suffering.
The cross would become distant and impersonal.
This is why JESUS became man.
Hebrews 2:10-18 explains that HE had to share in our humanity to fully accomplish the work of salvation.
Evidences That JESUS Was Truly Human
The humanity of JESUS is real and essential.
HE was not an illusion. HE lived as a man.
HE was ordinary in appearance
Isaiah 53:2 shows HE had no outward beauty that made HIM stand out.
HE was tempted
Hebrews 4:15 shows HE was tempted in all ways, yet without sin.
HE grew in wisdom
Luke 2:52 shows HIS development as a man.
HE experienced limitations
In HIS human form, JESUS was not omnipresent.
HE did not know certain things in HIS humanity
Mark 13:32 shows this clearly.
HE experienced emotional struggle
At Gethsemane (Matthew 26:39), HE prayed: “If it is possible, let this cup pass from me.”
That is humanity speaking.
Why JESUS Prayed to GOD
A common question is this:
If JESUS is GOD, why did HE pray?
The answer lies in HIS dual nature.
In HIS divinity, HE is one with GOD.
In HIS humanity, HE lived as an example for mankind.
John 17:4-5 shows that HIS prayers were part of HIS earthly mission.
JESUS demonstrated dependence, obedience, and leadership.
HE showed us how to live.
The Ultimate Demonstration
There is a powerful truth that summarizes HIS nature:
The ultimate demonstration of HIS humanity was that HE could die.
The ultimate proof of HIS divinity was that HE rose again.
Only a man can die.
Only GOD can conquer death.
The Danger of Wrong Doctrine
Throughout history, there have been teachings that distort the nature of JESUS.
Docetism denied HIS humanity.
Apollinarianism distorted HIS full human nature.
But scripture warns against such errors.
2 John 1:7 shows that denying the true nature of CHRIST is deception.
To deny HIS humanity or HIS divinity is to misunderstand salvation itself.
JESUS as the Second Adam
In Genesis 5:2, Adam represents mankind.
The first Adam failed.
But JESUS came as the second Adam.
Romans 5:15-17 explains that where Adam brought sin, JESUS brought life.
Where Adam fell, JESUS overcame.
The Decision Every Man Must Make
This teaching is not just theology. It is personal.
Because when you believe in JESUS, you choose your identity.
You choose your Adam.
Will you remain in the fallen nature of the first Adam?
Or will you receive the life offered through JESUS CHRIST?
The Final Revelation
The humanity of JESUS makes HIM relatable.
The divinity of JESUS makes HIM powerful.
Without HIS humanity, HE cannot represent us.
Without HIS divinity, HE cannot save us.
Both are necessary.
Both are the reason salvation is complete.
Final Thought
You cannot claim to love JESUS and remain ignorant of HIS nature.
To know HIM is to understand HIM.
To understand HIM is to believe rightly.
And to believe rightly is to be transformed.
So the question remains:
Which Adam do you believe in?
The transformation of this world start from every Families and their ability to train their children with the right value
